Israeli strikes displace thousands from south Lebanon to Beirut

Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported Friday that residents are fleeing the southern districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil for Sidon and Beirut as Israeli attacks continue, with at least 24 people killed in strikes earlier in the day.
Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported Friday that residents are fleeing the southern districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil in significant numbers as Israeli attacks continue, with displacement directed primarily toward the coastal city of Sidon and the capital Beirut.
The displacement wave comes as Israeli bombardment of the southern border regions intensifies, driving civilians toward major urban centers away from the front lines.
Strikes kill 24 in Nabatieh district
Earlier on Friday, Israeli attacks targeted civilian residences in Al-Sharqiyah, Harouf, and Kfar Sir within the Nabatieh district, killing at least 24 people and injuring several others. The agency said a number of individuals remain missing following the bombardment, which struck populated areas and left homes destroyed.
Rescue operations are reportedly underway for those still unaccounted for after the strikes flattened residential buildings in the three locations.
Two-month offensive displaces over one million
Israel's military offensive in Lebanon began on March 2 and has killed 3,912 people according to the latest official figures, while injuring 11,873 others and displacing more than one million residents. Israeli forces have advanced more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory during the recent campaign.
The offensive has driven mass displacement from southern border areas toward the capital and coastal cities as the conflict enters its third month.
