A statement by the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that its forces captured the village of Kuzmynivka, situated about 8 kilometers (5 miles) south of the city of Siversk, a key front in the Donetsk region.
In an earlier statement, Ukraine’s General Staff claimed that its forces repelled 15 Russian assaults near five settlements on the Siversk front, including Serebrianka, located about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) north of Siversk.
However, Ukrainian authorities have not immediately commented on the claim, and independent verification of the claim is difficult due to the ongoing war.
