Türkiye's Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklikaya presided over the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah on Friday, holding separate bilateral talks with Saudi, Palestinian, Maldivian and Bangladeshi counterparts on the sidelines to discuss regional developments.
Türkiye's Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Musa Kulaklikaya presided over the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday. The Foreign Ministry announced the gathering via the NSosyal social media platform.
OIC proceedings
The session convened senior diplomats from the 57-member bloc to address pressing regional developments. Kulaklikaya guided the proceedings as chair during the one-day meeting at the OIC headquarters.
Bilateral consultations
On the sidelines, Kulaklikaya met with Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji and Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian. He also held talks with Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel and Bangladeshi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and reviewing regional developments, the ministry said. Ankara maintains active diplomatic engagement within the OIC framework.
