Togg to launch affordable T6X electric car in June 2027

T6X targets budget segment with competitive pricing

Togg Chairman Fuat Tosyali told Anadolu Agency that the domestic electric vehicle manufacturer will launch its compact T6X model in June 2027, targeting middle-income consumers with a retail price of approximately 1.3 million Turkish lira — around $26,936. The company expects to begin accepting orders that month and commence deliveries by the end of June, with promotional financing campaigns available at rollout. "We are working with all our strength to offer the most affordable vehicle with the best equipment," Tosyali said, noting that the T6X remains in final development stages. "We will launch it at a very competitive price."

Production scale-up and current lineup

The new model will expand Togg's existing lineup, which includes the flagship T10X SUV launched two and a half years ago and the T10F fastback introduced last year. Tosyali noted that nearly 120,000 Togg vehicles are now on the road across Türkiye, supported by the company's nationwide service and charging infrastructure. Approximately 80% of service issues are now resolved remotely through software updates, he said, while the company continues expanding its physical service network and training technicians specializing in smart electric vehicles.

Tosyali outlined ambitious production targets, stating that annual output would reach 150,000 vehicles before the company introduces a new segment each year. "We aim to reach an annual production volume of 150,000 vehicles, after which we will introduce a new vehicle segment to the market every year, with a goal to exceed 200,000 vehicles produced every year," he said. Higher volumes will help optimize costs and reduce per-vehicle investment, he added.

Digital platform and European expansion

The Trumore digital platform continues to evolve based on data collected from the active vehicle fleet, guiding future investments and model development. Togg entered the German market last year and encountered stronger-than-expected interest, particularly from the Turkish community, Tosyali said. The company is currently negotiating with European banks to resolve consumer credit and financing issues in the region, while establishing physical showrooms to complement its online sales channel.

Charging infrastructure and market evolution

Togg's charging network operator Trugo will continue expanding infrastructure to stay ahead of growing EV adoption, Tosyali said. Nearly 30 brands have now entered Türkiye's charging business, significantly easing driver concerns about station availability. Tosyali welcomed potential new domestic carmakers, saying additional Turkish brands would enrich the market and expand the automotive transformation ecosystem.

He recalled that Togg received approximately 180,000 requests for the 20,000 units available at its first launch, illustrating the market's rapid transformation from seven years ago when more than 20 brands each sold roughly 7,000 vehicles annually.
