Daniyar Ismayilov lifts 147 kg at European Weightlifting Championships

Turkey’s Daniyar Ismayilov won a gold medal Monday at the European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia.

On the third day of the championships, Ismayilov, competing in the men's 67 kilogram event, won gold in the barbell snatch by lifting 147 kg.

However, he failed three times in the clean and jerk.

The championships, which are being represented by 20 Turkish athletes, will end on April 13.
