Mysterious monolith appears at world’s oldest temple in Turkey
The mystery of metal slab appeared near Gobeklitepe, home to the world's oldest temple site, in Turkey's southeastern province of Sanlıurfa has deepend. The 3-meter-tall (9.8-foot-tall) metal monolith, is triangular in shape and metallic in composition. Gendarmerie rushed to the site after locals alerted them to the presence of the monolith. The troops cordoned then off the area, an empty lot, and brought in experts from local and tourism authorities.
