Hundreds of bird corpses decorate pavement after slamming into NYC skyscrapers
Hundreds of migrating birds were killed after they slammed into the 417-meter twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. According to NYC Audubon, a non-profit group dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitat, stormy weather and nocturnal lights contributed greatly to their revering off course.
