Coast Guard dispatched to extinguish devastating blaze in Turkey's Marmaris
After flames from raging fires approached the seaside in Turkey, a Coast Guard boat and fire extinguisher belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure were dispatched to Marmaris, Muğla, to assist in efforts to quell the blaze.

Turtle found in trash adopted by couple in Muğla
Numan Pekdemir and his wife rescued a turtle named "Cuma" that was trapped in a bag its' mouth tied and decided to adopt it in Muğla, Turkey. 10-year-old Cuma stays in the couples garden during summer and in the balcony during winter.

88-year-old blind man struggles to provide for his family collecting cardboard boxes
88-year-old Hasan Başdaş, who lives in Turkey's Muğla, started collecting cardboard boxes to provide for his family when his son was sent to prison. He lost his sight completely when his cataracts worsened. However, Başdaş continued on his harrowing journey. He now carries a sign on his collecting cart that reads, "Drivers Beware. 88-year-old blind man" after he was hit by reckless drivers twice in his strife to eke out a living.
