Centuries old pill bottle unearthed in SE Turkey
An earthen pill bottle, embossed with two snakes raddled each other, called Caduceus, used as a symbol of medicine, is being displayed after it was unearthed at The Harran archaeological excavation site, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Centre - Tentative Lists, in the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa, Turkey. According to the chair of The Archeology Department of Harran University Mehmet Onal, the pill bottle belongs in the Middle Ages, 9 centuries old. The snake figure symbolizes immortality in archeology also symbolizes health and medicine in ancient Egypt and Greek arts.

Turkey's Harran eyes UNESCO heritage list
