Barbora Krejcikova defeats Coco Gauff from US 7-6, 6-3

Czech tennis player Barbora Krejcikova defeated US' Coco Gauff to reach the French Open semifinals.

World no. 33 Krejcikova won 7-6, 6-3 against 24th seeded Gauff to advance to the Grand Slam semis for the first time in her career.

Krejcikova, who won the doubles championship in 2018 French Open, will face the winner of the Iga Swiatek-Maria Sakkari game in semifinals.

French Open, also known as Roland Garros, is a major tennis tournament held in Paris in May every year.

The tournament's women's singles final will be held on June 12.
