Fans of the popular South Korean boy band, BTS, were sent into a frenzy when they found out newly sworn-in Vice President Kamala Harris follows the band's official Twitter account
We’ve all heard of them: From BTS to Blackpink, young Korean actors and singers have conquered hearts all over the globe, not just in South Asia, with their looks, charm and talent. From Korean pop (K-pop) to the multi-billion dollar drama industry, the South Korean wave has somehow shown up on our horizon, whether we like it or not.
Now, we once again hear from fans of the popular South Korean boy band, BTS, who were sent into a frenzy when they found out newly sworn-in Vice President Kamala Harris follows the band's official Twitter account.
The BTS ARMY, a term the fans calls themselves, also pointed out that Harris' playlist on Spotify features the group's hit track, "Boy With Luv."
The ARMY took to Twitter to express their excitement as they claimed Harris as one of their own.
“She might be the first member of the BTS ARMY in the White House,” said Billboard magazine on Twitter.
Another fan said, “I think it’s so amazing that Kamala Harris is only following like 778 people, but among those 778 is BTS.”
Kamala Harris has made history when she became the first female, first Black and first South Asian American vice president in U.S. history.
