Turkish ‘Robin Hood’ steals heart of old woman wanting to throw her son a wedding

A Turkish Good Samaritan, named “Robin Hood” by Istanbulites, in an altruistic act gave five gold coins, 1000 dollars and a box of chocolates to an impoverished woman who wanted to help her son with wedding expenses.
The Secret Santa has been distributing envelopes containing 1000 Turkish liras to low-income families who generally live in shanty towns, paying their debts in neighborhood grocery stores and handing out pocket money to children since March 2019.

Turkish citizen Vecihe Algül, one of his charges who lives in the Üsküdar district of Turkey’s Istanbul, said: “I really need this aid. I am going to marry my son, it would be excellent if he donated around 3000 or 5000 liras. My husband is paralyzed and I am always thinking about how I can cover the wedding expenses.”
After Robin Hood got wind of Algül’s wish, the secret hero immediately took action and came to her rescue with five gold coins, 1000 dollars and a box of chocolates.
The Good Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, reportedly distributed aid to dozens of districts all over Istanbul.
