Turkey’s energy giant TUPRAS is named as the biggest company in the country in 2015
Energy giant TUPRAS has been named as the biggest company in 2015 as Istanbul Chamber of Industry announced Turkey's top 500 companies on Tuesday.
TUPRAS has kept the top rank since 2005, it earned 35,4 billion Turkish liras ($ 12,18 billion) of turnover in 2015.
According to the list of Turkey's top 500 companies, Ford Otomotiv, producer of Ford autos, ranked as second-largest, and Arcelik, household appliances manufacturer, as third largest.
Ford Otomotiv made 14,7 billion Turkish Lira ($5 billion) of turnover while Arcelik earned 9,9 billion Turkish liras ($3,4).
Automotive producers Oyak Renault and Tofaş followed them.
Istanbul Chamber of Industry has been announcing Turkey's top 500 companies list since 1968.
