Muslim woman asked to remove hijab at bank to withdraw cash in India
An Indian father was enraged after his daughter was allegedly denied permission to withdraw money from a bank in Bihar’s Begusarai, demanding the bank manager to cite any rules that request customers to lift their face coverings for verification. “My daughter has had an account in the bank for the last few years (but) they never asked her to lift the hijab or veil at the time of withdrawing money. I reasoned with the bank manager, Ritesh Kumar, to cite rules for asking one to lift their hijab or veil for verification,” the father said, according to the Indian Express.
