Trabzonspor part ways with head coach Fatih Tekke

Trabzonspor have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Fatih Tekke following a meeting between club Vice President Serkan Kilic and the coach to evaluate the team's trajectory, the Süper Lig side announced on Tuesday. The club stated that both sides concurred on the necessity of charting a new course aligned with Trabzonspor's strategic objectives and long-term development goals.

Europa League exit

Tekke had tendered his resignation in the immediate aftermath of Trabzonspor's 4-0 defeat to Ferencvaros in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff round, a result that eliminated the club 5-0 on aggregate. Club President Ertugrul Dogan initially rejected the resignation, though subsequent discussions between Kilic and Tekke ultimately produced Tuesday's mutual separation agreement.

During his approximately 18 months at the helm, Tekke oversaw significant squad development while delivering both sporting and economic gains to the club, according to the official statement.
