Turkey against Montenegro in FIBA European Qualifiers

Turkey is in Group I with Spain, Latvia, Montenegro, Ukraine and Slovenia

Turkey's national basketball team will play against Montenegro on Friday in their first match of the second round of the 2019 FIBA European Qualifiers.

Turkey will face Montenegro in Group I in the Turkish capital Ankara at 8 p.m. local time (1700GMT).

Turkey qualified the second round with 10 points in the first round, pushing Turkey to the second place in the group.

After playing against Montenegro, Turkey will face Slovenia on Sept. 17.

Turkey is in the same group with Spain, Latvia, Montenegro, Ukraine and Slovenia.

The three highest-placed teams from the group will qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 will be held in China from Aug. 31 to Sept. 15.
