Türkiye's ambassador engages Turkish students, academics in Jordan

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Jordan, Yakup Caymazoglu, convened a meeting with Turkish students and academics in Amman, focusing on expanding educational collaboration and cultural exchange between the two nations. The event, organized by the Amman Education Counsellorship and hosted by the Türkiye Maarif Foundation’s Jordan Representation, emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to fostering academic growth and diplomatic engagement in the region.

Strengthening Education Diplomacy

The gathering brought together key representatives from Turkish educational and cultural institutions, including Amman Education Counsellor Burhan Okutan, Türkiye Maarif Foundation Representative Veşi Kaya, and Yunus Emre Institute Amman Director Prof. Mustafa Ozturk. Discussions centered on Türkiye’s education diplomacy initiatives, opportunities for institutional partnerships, and academic support for Turkish students pursuing studies in Jordan.

Supporting Turkish Students Abroad

A key focus of the meeting was the academic and cultural development of Turkish scholarship students in Jordan, who are supported by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education. Participants explored ways to enhance students’ educational experiences and strengthen their connection to Türkiye while studying abroad. The event also highlighted the role of Turkish dormitories and cultural centers in providing a supportive environment for students.
