Erdogan's gifted Togg car garners attention in Arab media during Gulf tour

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's highly anticipated tour of Gulf countries has been set in motion. The tour commenced with an official reception by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia, marking the first destination. Subsequent stops include Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Tour makes headlines around the world

President Erdogan's visit has emerged as the focal point of discussion across Saudi Arabian media. Newspapers have seized the opportunity to feature the visit prominently, drawing attention to Erdogan's gesture of gifting Togg, Turkey's first domestically manufactured car, to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

An attention-grabbing visit

CNN, characterizing Erdogan's Gulf tour as "attention-grabbing," highlights the signing of several bilateral agreements between Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Erdogan, spanning defense industries, energy, and communication sectors, signifying the strengthening ties between the two nations.

While Al Jazeera highlights Saudi Arabia's purchase of Turkish UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) under the agreements made during Erdogan's visit, Al Riyadh newspaper refers to Turkey and Saudi Arabia as "two brotherly countries."

Erdogan chauffeured in Togg to his hotel

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reports that President Erdogan presented two Turkish-made electric cars (Togg) as gifts to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The agency notes that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inspected the vehicle presented to him by President Erdogan at the palace square and subsequently accompanied Erdogan to his hotel using Togg.

A subject of curiosity: What is the secret of the white color?

Al-Ain newspaper draws attention to Erdogan's gift, posing the question, "What is the secret behind the white color of the car gifted to the Crown Prince?"

The newspaper reports that the color of the vehicle was sourced from Pamukkale, a renowned tourism haven situated in the western region of Turkey's Denizli province.

CNN, on the other hand, shares comprehensive insights with its readers, delving into Togg's technical specifications, pricing, and production process.
