Israel's Tax Authority has received 10,314 claims for damages caused by Iranian missiles and drones since Feb. 28, Israeli media reported Thursday, with Tel Aviv accounting for 5,300 claims. Hospitals treated 179 people in the past 24 hours as 14 Israelis have been killed since the conflict began.
Israel's Tax Authority has received 10,314 claims for damages caused by Iranian missiles and drones since Feb. 28, Israeli media reported Thursday, revealing the extensive material toll of Iran's retaliatory campaign. Tel Aviv recorded 5,300 claims, followed by Ashkelon with 3,900, Jerusalem with 200, and Acre and Tiberias with 970 combined, showing the geographic spread of damage across Israeli cities.
Damage breakdown
Of the claims filed, 7,250 were for building damage, 1,130 for contents and equipment, and 1,770 for vehicles. The figures provide the first official glimpse into the scale of destruction from Iran's approximately 3,200 missile and UAV attacks, which have targeted Israeli cities in response to the US-Israeli offensive on Iran.
Casualties mount
During the past 24 hours, hospitals treated 179 people, and 85 remain hospitalized, according to health officials. The Institute for National Security Studies confirmed that 14 Israelis have died since the start of the Israeli-US offensive on Feb. 28. However, Israel has imposed strict censorship on human and material losses, suggesting the real toll may be higher than officially reported figures indicate.

Conflict context
The conflict began with Israeli and US strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, which have killed over 1,300 people according to Iranian authorities, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and more than 150 schoolgirls in a Minab school attack. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. The exchange of fire has caused widespread destruction on both sides, with over 9,000 targets struck in Iran and damage claims now exceeding 10,000 in Israel.
