Mosque demolition sparks protest

🇮🇳 Hundreds of Muslims took to the streets in Ujjain, India, objecting to the partial demolition of a historic mosque that is six centuries old.

Authorities in the BJP-governed state say the structure was removed as part of a road expansion project linked to preparations for the 2028 Hindu pilgrimage, which is expected to bring millions of visitors to the city.
