US Central Command announced Monday that American forces have struck Iran's military command centers, ballistic missile facilities, and naval assets in the opening phase of "Operation Epic Fury." The campaign has deployed stealth bombers, carrier jets, and guided-missile destroyers, with claims of destroying all 11 Iranian vessels in the Gulf of Oman and killing 49 leaders including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

US Central Command disclosed Monday that American forces have systematically targeted Iran's security apparatus during the first 48 hours of "Operation Epic Fury," focusing on locations posing what it termed "imminent threats." The strikes have hit command and control centers, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters and aerospace force facilities, integrated air defense systems, ballistic missile sites, vessels and submarines, anti-ship missile installations, and military communications infrastructure across Iran.

Comprehensive Arsenal Deployment

To execute the campaign, the US has deployed an extensive array of weaponry including B-2 stealth bombers and B-1 bombers, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22 and F-35 fighter jets, A-10 attack aircraft, EA-18G electronic warfare planes, MQ-9 Reaper drones, nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, guided-missile destroyers, and Patriot and THAAD missile defense systems. B-2 stealth bombers additionally struck hardened ballistic missile facilities overnight Sunday.

Claimed Results and Casualties

CENTCOM reported significant operational achievements, including the destruction of all 11 Iranian vessels in the Gulf of Oman. President Donald Trump claimed that 49 Iranian leaders have been killed, among them Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. However, the campaign has not been without cost: at least six US service members have died and 18 others sustained serious wounds since operations commenced. Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Gulf countries and US military assets, expanding the conflict's geographic scope.
