Turkish President Erdogan stresses significance of Muslim world taking united stance against Israel

It is highly important that Muslim countries stand together in opposition to Israel’s massacres in Palestine, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.

In a meeting with Sheikh Sabah Khalid al-Sabah, crown prince of Kuwait, at the Turkish House (Turkevi Center) in New York, Erdogan “highlighted the significance of Islamic countries showing a united stance against Israel's massacres in Palestinian territories,” said Türkiye's Communications Directorate.

During the meeting, held in New York on the eve of the UN General Assembly, the two discussed relations between the two nations as well as regional and global issues,

Erdogan also highlighted the need for continued talks to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.

Emphasizing the importance of developing relations between Türkiye and Kuwait, particularly in trade, Erdogan said both countries would continue to work to strengthen cooperation.

On Syria, President Erdogan underlined the importance of focusing on rebuilding and development while maintaining the country's territorial integrity, reaffirming Ankara's support for Syria.
