Turkish security forces are searching for four ISIL militants who allegedly entered Turkey from Syria to conduct terror attacks
Turkish security forces have been put on alert to capture four members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), including a German national, who have entered Turkey to carry out attacks in the country.
The police are on alert in all provinces and districts. Security sources said the terrorists had been sent to attack ships, aircraft or mass rallies in Turkey.
Security authorities shared suspects' photographs and identification, along with possible fake IDs and photos with the media.
The Istanbul Police Department has already launched a series of operations which will continue until the suspects are apprehended, police sources said.
Sources confirmed that three of the ISIL members were Turkish nationals and one of them, presumably a female, was a foreign citizen of German nationality.
All citizens are requested to inform police through the 155 hotline if they have any information about the suspects named, Ömer Deniz D, Şavaş Y, Muhammet Zana A and Walentina S.
