At least one person is dead and dozens are missing after a landfill collapsed in Cebu City, Philippines. Authorities report 12 people have been rescued from the site, while search and rescue operations continue for approximately 38 missing individuals.

A landslide at a private landfill in Cebu City, Philippines, has left one person dead and approximately 38 others missing. The collapse occurred Thursday afternoon at the Binaliw Landfill site, trapping employees who were working at the facility.

Ongoing Rescue Efforts for Trapped Workers

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival confirmed that 110 employees were on site when the incident happened. So far, rescue teams have successfully retrieved and hospitalized 12 individuals. Authorities are conducting continuous search, rescue, and retrieval operations in an effort to locate survivors among the missing.
