Khamenei in touch with Mahdi: Taqlid authority

Ayatollah Nasir Makarem Shirazi, a Taqlid authority, has claimed that the Supreme Leader of Iran and Muslim cleric Ali Khamenei have been in touch with the Mahdi.

"His success has registered his link with Imam Mahdi," said 90-year-old Shirazi during his speech at a conference in Qom, Iran.

"We cannot know the date but probably the Holy Appearance Of Imam Mahdi is soon," Shirazi said.

Ja'faris are known to believe that Mahdi will appear.

Some Ja'faris believe that Jamkaran Masjid is the place where Mahdi can be contacted.
