Ceasefire violation

The attack occurred despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025. Israeli forces have continued daily violations, killing hundreds of Palestinians and blocking the entry of medical supplies and equipment needed to treat the wounded.

Healthcare crisis

Gaza's health system has collapsed after more than two years of war, with severe shortages of medicines, equipment, and specialized care. Palestinian authorities report that around 22,000 wounded and sick patients need to leave Gaza for treatment abroad.

Gaza war toll

Israel's war on Gaza since October 2023 has killed more than 72,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 172,000. About 90% of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed.
