After establishing a Turkish trade center in Tehran, Turkey's exporters now working to open the second overseas business center in Dubai, Turkish Exporters Assembly head says
The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) continues to expand Turkey's overseas trade center project as it plans to establish the second trade center in Dubai after Tehran.
According to reports on media, the TİM rented a 800-square-meter area on Sheikh Zayed Road, the commercial center of Dubai.
The council is undergoing several meetings with Turkish companies interested in opening their business room at the center.
TİM President Mehmet Büyükekşi said that the location of the Turkish trade center in Dubai is one of the most demanded locations in the area because of its proximity to the fair center.
“We rented a 800-square-meter area. But now we are working on which sectors and companies would be taking place in the business center. We have announced for applications from relevant companies. If the demand is high we can increase the size of the center,” he said.
He said that they plan to complete the process within two months, adding that the Turkish trade center in Tehran will be opening next month.
Büyükekşi said that with the support from Ankara, Turkish companies now have opportunity to deal with customers more closely.
He said the TİM is planning to open business centers in the U.S., Asia and Europe, including Japan.
“We are looking for a place in Chicago. We are also looking for a place in China, Japan and European countries,” he added.
