Fifteen EU states include Ukraine aid in new defense investment plans

All nineteen European Union member states participating in the Security Action for Europe initiative have submitted their national defense investment strategies, with fifteen countries including provisions for supporting Ukraine in their proposals. EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius announced the submissions on Monday, noting that the Ukrainian assistance components involve "billions, not millions" of euros, exceeding initial expectations for the program designed to strengthen continental security.
