Israeli settler groups have prepared a comprehensive plan to seize approximately 100 strategic locations in Area A of the occupied West Bank, aiming to fundamentally reshape the territory's map and extend Israeli control over major cities currently under Palestinian Authority administration.

Strategic Land Seizure Plan

Israeli settler organizations have prepared a plan to seize approximately 100 strategic sites in Area A of the occupied West Bank, territory assigned to Palestinian Authority control under the 1995 Oslo II Accord, and have presented the proposal to ministers close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Israel Hayom newspaper reported that the proposal outlines a mechanism for deploying forces to the targeted locations on what the plan describes as an "execution day." The initiative aims to fundamentally alter the map of the occupied territory and covers major Palestinian cities currently administered by the Palestinian Authority, the report said, adding that the plan has been circulated among senior government figures.

Annexation Fears

Muayyad Shaaban, president of the Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization, described the proposal as a dangerous step toward full annexation of the occupied West Bank. He argued that the plan reflects longstanding policies pursued by right-wing Israeli governments rather than representing an independent initiative by illegal settler groups.

West Bank Violence

Israeli forces conduct near-daily raids in West Bank cities and towns, frequently involving arrests, field interrogations and home searches. Attacks by Israeli forces and settlers in the territory since October 2023 have killed more than 1,173 Palestinians, injured 12,666 and led to the arrest of approximately 23,000 people, according to Palestinian figures.
