Trump calls for war crimes trial of Iranian leaders over protester deaths

Trump characterized the Iranian government as being in "total disarray" and dismissed the country's institutional capacity, asserting that the Islamic Republic retains no viable military force. "They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no currency," the US president wrote on Truth Social.

Trump added that Iran's economic system is "dead," claiming that Tehran's only remaining assets are "fake news" originating from the United States and a "willingness to kill their protesters." The characterization comes as the White House has maintained its "maximum pressure" campaign against the Islamic Republic.
