Oct. 10 has been a milestone.

Just as May 1, 1977, in Taksim had been a milestone.

After the Uludere incident an official from the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) said, “The Feb. 7 National Intelligence Organization [MİT] crisis and the Uludere incident have been the biggest trauma the state has faced.”

The Ankara Train Station is our new trauma.

As the days pass the pain deepens.

But as the days pass the investigation is making progress.

We were at Çankaya Palace yesterday.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu came to the front of the Ankara Train Station, the scene of the explosions, with his wife Sare Davutoğlu and ministers, and laid carnations in memory of those who lost their lives.

Davutoğlu was quite affected from such pain being experienced during his term.

When the announcement was made his son and daughter came to him and said, “Dad they are calling for blood. If they need it, we would like to donate blood.”

The prime minister said, “This incident will not remain unsolved.”

In the past we witnessed the prime ministers and ministers give a “word of honor.”

Erdal İnönü and İsmet Sezgin had said solving the case of Uğur Mumcu's assassination is a debt of honor for the state.

I can't know what happened to the honor of the state but the Mumcu assassination could not be solved.

But this time the situation is a little different. This promise is the “word of Davutoğlu.”

This time the mindset administrating the country is different. Two people who tied the corpse of Hacı Lokman Birlik in Cizre at the back of a car were discharged.

A journalist friend of mine who went to the region in the 1990s had shared a story.

A person on duty who was going to the operations in the region, opening his wardrobe, with pride showed his collection of ears of the terrorists he killed during the operations.

That state of the 1990s is no more.

Now there is a state that takes terrorists who die in clashes in Tunceli to Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute delivers them to their families.

There is a state that discharges those who drag the corpse of Hacı Lokman Birlik at the back of a car.

The prime minister warned those on duty on the Hacı Lokman Birlik case saying, “I don't want a filter in the report.”

Next in line is the Ankara explosion.

The prime minister said that once examiners complete their work, the necessary procedures will be made for those responsible.

This promise is the word of Davutoğlu, and we will follow it up.

As the representatives of the newspapers in Ankara we discussed the explosions in the capital with the Prime Minister Davutoğlu for exactly an-hour-and-40-minutes.

“We are following two traces” said the prime minister. When Ömer Çelik said, “cocktail, crossbred” he nodded.

He told how the “activists brought the bombs, one in a bag, the other in a vest.”

The bomb set up used in the incident is similar to the one in Suruç, with other signs indicating that ISIS is behind the explosion. Suicide bombers show ISIS is behind the explosion.

But in the way the action was planned, the cooperation between the two organizations are focused. “Two traces” point the same two organizations. One of them is obviously ISIS, but what about the other one?

The outlawed PKK, DHKP-C, Syrian intelligence or another organization, we don't know?

Aren't these organizations enemies against each other? But we see that when the matter is about attacking Turkey, after July 20, ISIS in Suruç, the PKK in Ceylanpınar and the DHKP-C Istanbul all began to take action as if their buttons were pressed at the same time.

Did the will power that pushed these three organizations to attack Turkey make them act simultaneously?

Turkey is facing a new wave of terror.

“I received the signal one of the suicide bombers is close to being identified. There is progress on the DNA match,” said the prime minister.

Now there is focus on an ISIS militant who had bomb training before. It is known that there are 15 male and six female militants ISIS prepared for suicide bombings. Since the suicide bombers are men, they are focused on men. Some of the suicide bombers are foreigners. There are those who took the surname of the foreigners after they married.

The prime minister doesn't ignore that the explosion in Ankara is based on the elections.

“The actions before the June 7 elections was for Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) to pass the threshold. The actions now are to prevent the AK Party from coming to the power alone,” he said.

Bombs had been sent to the HDP organizations in flower pots before June 7. The bomb was exploded in the Diyarbakır meeting. For some, the bomb explosion at the Diyarbakır meeting increased the HDP's votes a few percent in Turkey in general.

Since June 7 there is no decrease in the AK Party's votes. Starting at 42 percent, it has currently reached 43.8 percent. According to research by a prominent public opinion company, before the explosion, the rate of the AK Party's votes had reached 44 percent. I spoke while the report was being prepared. There was an increase trend.

Neither coming to power alone, nor exceeding the threshold, nor the rising votes, none of them is worth a single nail of our people who lost their lives at Ankara Train Station.

But those who use terror as a method do not consider this. They don't have “human” sensitivity.

Didn't they kill 5,600 of our young people according to the official numbers before the 1980s to drag Turkey into coup?

The prime minister categorized the process after the explosion into two stages.

“The first stage was the traumatic stage. As a society we passed the test very well. We didn't allow some people to drag Turkey into chaos,” he said and added, “I thank and express my condolence to the families first. The families didn't allow those who wanted to produce chaos through the funerals.

Davutoğlu described the second stage as the stage until the Nov. 1 elections. “With gentleness we should take the country to the elections,” he said. We should both take the country to the election and give a lesson by presenting strong will power at the ballot box to those who want to give us a message through the suicide bombings in Ankara.

In the meeting with the prime minister we asked questions about his meeting with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the chair of the Republican People's Party (CHP). He is pleased with the support of Kılıçdaroğlu. He had said to the CHP chair: “While making a statement against terror, how good would it be if there was a deputy prime minister from the CHP on my left, a deputy prime minister from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) on my right and a minister from the HDP somewhere as well.”

It was March 11, 2004. There were three days for the elections in Spain. There had been an explosion at Madrid Railway Station that resulted in the death of 191 people. The leaders had cooperation in Spain and millions of people poured to the streets. Against the power the unity of politics and the reaction of the people, ETA had to lay down arms. Suicide bombs blasted Ankara Train Station 21 days ahead of the elections in Turkey with 97 people losing their lives. Millions of people could not pour to the streets against the terror. Leaders other than Davutoğlu and Kılıçdaroğlu couldn't come together or even give a joint statement.

I wanted you to see the difference.
