Era of ascension: history's tide is about to shift

The rise and fall of nations are like destiny. Just as the decline of the Ottoman Empire could not be stopped and ended with the empire's dissolution, the rise of Great Türkiye cannot be stopped either.

While European states, which have exploited the entire world for two centuries, have begun to experience deep anxieties about the future, Türkiye remains constantly on the agenda with its vision for the future, its growth, and its mission to expand its influence.

Who does this rise frighten, and why? A mafia state, whose genetic makeup is wired with security and existential concerns, sees every power that exists as a threat because it constantly threatens everyone in its path.

A state fortifying its inner citadel, transforming its own country into an island of stability, and formulating policies to ensure the stability of its neighbors, the region, and many Muslim countries—this unsettles the upstart states.

This approach is a mafia state reflex, and Israel fits every aspect of this definition.

Israel's maintenance of its occupying and threatening stance from the day of its founding until today was based on the unrivalled power of Western states. This power was uninterruptedly behind Israel.

The majesty of history: What primarily frightens these states is the majesty of this nation's history. When you wind history back a century, many states, especially Israel, did not exist. When you wind back two centuries, the number of states in the world drops by more than forty at once.

Many Israeli officials living in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Acre are of Istanbul origin. They know the majesty of an imperial capital better than we do. Add to that the majesty of history, and you have to stop and think. When they look at Ankara and Istanbul, they are aware of what kind of dwarfism they are in. The same is true for a Greek.

Although the colonizers and the colonial intellectuals among us try to draw a black curtain over this historical mission, history is returning and repeating itself.

For the last 10 years, Türkiye has been advancing steadily and consistently toward its strategic goals.

Just as the Karabakh War ended with the solidarity of two brotherly nations, Armenia-Türkiye relations in the Caucasus are settling on a rational footing.

Libya is gradually evolving into a unitary state, and the Türkiye-Egypt rapprochement will accelerate this process.

Somalia is one of the world's most strategic fault lines. Türkiye is a stakeholder in its stabilization in terms of maritime borders and security.

Syria is transforming into a unitary state and rapidly moving away from the climate of chaos and terrorism desired by Israel.

Iraq is gradually becoming a country that ensures its own security and stability.

Sudan will achieve unity and order with the contribution of friendly and allied Muslim countries.

The Organization of Turkic States is gaining a strong identity, and the union is being institutionalized day by day.

The Mecca Agreement: The Mecca Agreement was the last straw. It emerged as a complementary power element among the developments we have mentioned above and will continue to elaborate on.

The perception of unlimited occupation and threat that began with the Gaza genocide, the Israel-US-Iran war...

The confidence crisis into which the Gulf countries have fallen prepared the ground for the Mecca Agreement.

The security architecture centered on Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Egypt does not appear to contradict America's current security approach. Regional geopolitics will radically change.

"These three countries have the potential to emerge as significant strategic actors capable of dealing with threats to themselves or the wider region through their alliance. Moreover, the alliance could expand to include other states sharing the same strategic objectives."

A new geopolitics and a new history are emerging. This is a nation's destiny. Throughout history, this nation has embarked on many journeys and has rarely turned back.
