Seeking new "Mesut Yılmaz"s....

Murat Yetkin has been writing extremely interesting ''analyses'' about Çankaya elections, Gül''s position and Erdogan''s possible choices. When the topic is the Dogan group and, most particularly, the Radical newspaper, these ''analyses'' should be paid more attention to. After all, Yetkin is already slipping a common mind''s desires and advices into his neutral analysis-looking articles. While evaluating the newly established Center Party, he cannot see that the real move is not this and he doesn''t consider it – stating this by speaking in the name of Arinç and Gül – harmful. From the point of Yetkin, Arinç thinks, ''AK Party is in a regression period and the only way to prevent being transformed into ANAP is by assigning Gül as the Chairman of the party''. Yetkin, amazedly, speaks from Gül''s mouth and says ''Gül thinks that the Party is not on EU''s religious/conservative line''. And he completes this ''analysis'' by stating that, if Erdogan shuts the doors of the party for Gül, then the new Özal Party will be AK Party under Gül''s lead, rather than MP. (''Did a second Özal Party appear on the horizon?'', 05.07.2014)

Following this, we are witnessing Yetkin''s or the circle''s, which Yetkin represents, praises about Ihsanoglu. He makes the ''Ihsanoglu is Erdogan''s antithesis'' fixation and makes comparisons. As this circle is constantly skewing the reading of Erdogan, we understand that this is a necessity to fix the irregularity of Ihsanoglu''s candidacy. For example, we are witnessing that Erdogan''s ''Continuing as it is'' saying about the Resolution Process is being complained about. If Erdogan''s ''Continuing as it is'' saying is a ''making no compromises from the resolution process'' antithesis, then think about the rest. Besides, they say that Ihsanoglu is saying, ''These issues should come to the Assembly, and should be solved by the discussion of political parties''. In other words, it''s as if the law draft about the Resolution Process wasn''t already in the process of passing through the Assembly, CHP and HDP haven''t announced their supports in this law and we didn''t come to an end... From Yetkin''s perspective, another one of Ihsanoglu''s important differences is that he will be concentrating on the ''equilibrium and inspection'' activity. In short, a stick and chock function, which is above the politics, with the already known Sezer model...(''Parliamentary democracy, stick or twist?'', 07.07.2014)

In his latest creation named ''Weather has changed, Gül can return'', Yetkin continues speaking in Gül''s name. Besides, he always does this in every newspaper he writes. Before they run out of paper reserved for them, Radikal made a ''newscast'' in the form of ''Gül will open a flag against Erdogan, and will return to politics in order to take the lead of the party in the Congress'', and Çankaya had contradicted this with a couple of sentences. But, according to Yetkin''s analyses, which he leaned on the ''imminent circles'', ''Gül is waiting''... If he gets an invitation with the condition that Erdogan leaves the party to him, he will return to politics. Because he doesn''t think in the same way with Erdogan, there are serious opinion differences related with the New Turkey ideal. Yetkin says so.

Interestingly, Radikal''s brother Hürriyet had written a caption on July 6 that might irritate Gül. According to this study named ''New Kiosk'', after Gül left Çankaya, he had bought a priceless villa, which is heavily guarded and is placed on an area looking at the Bosporus and also a neighbor to Hidiv Kasri. A disavowal comes from Çankaya that this newscast is far off. The villa belongs to Gül''s son-in-law and is one of the possible places to which the Gül family will move. It doesn''t seem rational that a newspaper can make such an error of fact in such a period.

Besides, immediately Soner Yalçin from Sözcü comes in to action. He stated, ''Why did Hürriyet make an error by giving the news about the village being owned by Gül from their headlines? I know that the Hürriyet newspaper is a Gül sympathizer! They could''ve asked press counselor Ahmet Sever, who is their imminent friend and old worker, about the villa.. A great news agency wouldn''t have lost their journalist reflex.'' By saying this,Yalçin acts as if he is asking a question, but also probes the situation via neighborhood gossips. He even claims that one of the villas there had been sold by the jobless journalist Hasan Cemal to Zafer Çaglayan for 3.5 million dollars.

He also finishes his article with ''I will continue investigating why Hürriyet brought this topic to its agenda''.

In my neighborhood, I don''t have such people who know this much information. Although, following the news – which we call ''open intelligence'' – that is read by everyone is a cure for many problems and questions.

Is there any meaning to the circles, who have the ''As the process collapses and Erdogan dissolves, whoever replaces him, we don''t really care'' obsession, making Gül-oriented news,, while on the other hand attempting to bring Gül into the equation against Erdogan? Is there any meaning to why Yalçin is leaning over this news? Is it a threat, support, road accident or coincidence? We will see.

Speaking in the name of Gül or Arinç, with Yetkin''s precision, won''t be right. It will be unfair to both of them. Everything will become clear in a short period, and we will say what we have to say clearly, unlike today as we talk from our stomachs.

Though, from Gül''s point and from the point of AK Party base, being shown as this much close to Hürriyet and Radikal and other components this imminent, must be troublesome. As much as what we think in reality and what we are, are important aspects, how much we can be understood is important as well. And people are also responsible for how they are being perceived.

What we can say independently from Gül and Arinç is that the Dogan group and all the other components are quite keen on playing games against Erdogan via Gül. In order to turn from the verge of New Turkey, liquidate Erdogan and close the century-long parenthesis in this historical period, it seems that a new Mesut Yilmaz and ANAP model is prioritized. If it doesn''t succeed, the Centre Party and Ihsanoglu will come in to play.

It''s quite exciting. Let''s see what will happen…
