Zionists’ “perfect provocation” method

Israel sought to achieve its goals during the British Mandate established on Palestine’s historic lands through what can be described as a method of “perfect provocation.” After emerging from British patronage as a colonial Israeli state, the same method was then applied toward the countries surrounding Palestine. Those curious about the details of this method can look in particular at sources on the “Six-Day War.” However, those interested in the history of Zionism will turn to other events to fully grasp the importance of “perfect provocation.” It is well known how successful this method was in directing Jews living in Eastern Europe toward Israel. The same method also proved effective in steering Iraqi Jews to Israel. Those interested can consult Avi Shlaim’s book Three Worlds. The most important component of the “perfect provocation” method was catching the opposing side in a position of weakness. Zionists and Zionist Israel derived excessive power from the mandate administration established on Palestine’s historic lands. Unfortunately, comprehensive research on the British Mandate administration remains insufficient. In particular, British influence has consistently been pushed into the background in order to create the myth of Jewish power. After the Second World War, everything necessary for the Israeli myth was done. The weakness of the Palestinians and neighboring states was critically important to Zionist success in ensuring the effectiveness of the “perfect provocation” method. Jordan’s role in paving the way for Israel at every step should also be examined through its relationship with Britain.
I deliberately avoid using the expression “the Zionists’ devotion.” We know from past examples how misleading this can be. Examples that are thought to prove their devotion to their cause have been given excessive importance, especially in conservative circles. Most recently, even the supposed devotion of the notorious settler killer Daniella Weiss was brought up. After October 7, 2023, it became clear that such expressions and examples were aimed at propaganda. We have seen in the Gaza Strip that the Zionists lack real warfighting capability. What this truly means will become clearer over time. In fact, after October 7, as in the past, the image of a hostile environment was revived, and the belief that they were justified in every war they waged was rekindled. This appeared to be a major gain for them. But it depended on a very important condition: they had to win victory within a few days. Had they achieved their objectives in Gaza in just a few days, no one would have been able to criticize them. In that case, the so-called devotion would once again have inspired admiration. When the Palestinians confronted Zionist Israel with an extraordinary resistance, the entire construct collapsed. Today, no one speaks of the Zionists’ admirable devotion. The whole world hates them. Because it has been revealed that they carried out dirty work even for a country like Germany. There was neither devotion nor self-sacrifice.
After October 7, it became abundantly clear that the Zionists are tied to and dependent on the colonial patronage of Britain, the United States, Germany, and other states. This shows that the “perfect provocation” method must be examined within a far more complex context. Zionists have always sought to mobilize European public opinion in their favor by presenting themselves as fighting on behalf of European civilization in a hostile environment or along a trench line. To do this, they manufactured images related to Muslims. For them, terrorism and terrorists were highly useful tools for image-making. From the 1990s onward, producing such images about Muslims was not particularly difficult. As in the Palestinian case, they knew they had caught them in a position of weakness. There was a comprehensive smear campaign against the Islamic world. The Salman Rushdie affair should also be viewed within this framework. As long as this cursed cycle was not broken, they would face no difficulty in producing images about Muslims. But at some point, the system began to fail. The fact that a killer in New Zealand entered a mosque before the eyes of the world and massacred worshippers showed that the labels of terrorism and terrorists no longer worked.
Years later, this time in Australia, the organization of an act amounting to a perfect provocation against Jews is an extremely noteworthy development. We can say that they have once again resorted to old methods. But they will now have to accept that this method will no longer work either. Because it is clear that, unlike in the past, they have not caught their targets in a position of weakness. Everything they achieved in a hundred years with the help of the “great powers” has been lost in two years. They will not be able to reverse this.
