Turkey privatizes its biggest port

The Privatization High Council has approved the method of operating rights and the privatization on the Fenerbahçe-Kalamis marina. The decision was published in the official Gazette.

The operating right and the privatization tender of the Fenerbahçe-Kalamis Marina was given to Tek-Art Kalamis and Fenerbahçe Marmara Tourism Facilities Incorporated Company, the highest bidder with $664 million.

In the case that the contract is not signed or any failure to fulfill the conditions by the highest bidder, the operating right will be given to Safi Real Estate and Investment Industry Trade Incorporated Company, the Second highest tender bidder with $654 million.

If this company cannot sign the contract, Akdeniz Construction and Education Services- Yilport Holding Incorporated Company Joint Venture Group, the third highest tender bidder with $600 million, will operate the biggest yacht harbor.

The Fenerbahçe Kalamis Yacht Harbor is the largest marina in Turkey in terms of sea-binding capacity.
