Ancient Tralleis reveals 2,000-year-old Roman mosaic in Türkiye
Archaeologists working at the ancient city of Tralleis in western Türkiye have uncovered a remarkably preserved Roman-era mosaic dating back nearly 2,000 years. The discovery, featuring a hippocampus linked to the sea god Poseidon, offers new insight into the site's role as a prominent center of education, science and daily life during the Roman Imperial period.
