Google Gemini sponsors Türkiye’s national football team

Google Türkiye announced Monday that Gemini, the company’s artificial intelligence platform, has become an official sponsor of the Türkiye National Football Team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In a post on X, Google Türkiye referred to the team by its popular nickname, “Our Boys,” saying it was “very happy” to announce the sponsorship and that “football excitement will double with Gemini this year.”

Fan‑focused digital initiatives

The Turkish Football Federation confirmed that the partnership will elevate the digital experience for fans. “Google Gemini will launch a series of fan‑focused digital initiatives over the course of a year,” the federation said, adding that fans will have the opportunity to experience Google’s most innovative AI solutions. Gemini’s multimodal structure will serve as “a strong bridge between our National Teams and global fan communities,” enabling fans to receive real‑time support on team performance and match statistics, and to access exclusive content, visuals, original chants, and slogans.

World Cup group stage

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co‑hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Türkiye is scheduled to face Australia on June 13, Paraguay on June 20, and the host United States on June 26 in Group D. The Gemini sponsorship marks a significant step in integrating AI technology into football fandom, potentially setting a precedent for future national team partnerships globally.
