Spain comfortably defeated Austria 3-0 to advance from the Round of 32 to the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Los Angeles Stadium. Dominant display

La Roja wrapped up the victory in the 89th minute when Cucurella delivered another precise ball for Oyarzabal, who finished confidently for his second goal and his fourth of the tournament. The win extended Spain’s unbeaten run in regular time to 33 matches, dating back to March 2024. Spain will face either Portugal or Croatia in the Round of 16.
