Voting by UEFA Executive Committee at 1245GMT follows presentations of two candidates

Presentations by UEFA EURO 2024 bidders Turkey and Germany have concluded in Switzerland, while the host association for the football championship will be announced at 1245GMT on Thursday.

The UEFA Executive Committee met in Nyon on Sept. 27 to pick the EURO 2024 host.

While presentations for the UEFA administration's evaluation of the bid dossiers to the UEFA Executive Committee have been taking place, the bidding delegations were not be present in this meeting.

This will be followed by the voting by the UEFA Executive Committee at 1245GMT.

Germany and Turkey bid to host UEFA EURO 2024. A total of 18 UEFA officials -- including the president, 5 UEFA vice presidents and 12 executive committee members -- are eligible to participate in the voting.

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, vice presidents Swedish Karl-Erik Nilsson, Portuguese Fernando Gomes, Ukrainian Grigoriy Surkis, Italian Michele Uva and British David Gill will be voting.

The executive members who are eligible to vote include Polish Zbigniew Boniek, Hungarian Sandor Csanyi, Irish John Delaney, Swedish Peter Gillieron, French Florence Hardouin, Bulgarian Borislav Mihaylov, Spanish Juan Luis Larrea Sarobe, Croatian Davor Suker, Dutch Michael van Praag, Italian Andrea Agnelli and British Ivan Gazidis.

Sweden's Lars-Christer Olsson, a member of the executive committee, is unlikely to participate in the election due to health issues.

Turkey’s Servet Yardimci, another member of the executive committee, and Germany’s Reinhard Grindel, a vice president of the UEFA, are not eligible to vote.
