Early morning raids leave 22 Palestinians including two children injured
At least 22 Palestinians were wounded in early Tuesday in a series of Israeli air, ground and naval operations on the Gaza Strip, officials said.
"At least 22 Palestinians, including two children, were injured in Israeli raids," said Ashraf al-Qudrah, the Spokesman of Palestinian Health Ministry.
Israeli planes launched at least 60 strikes in Gaza, according to eyewitness reports.
Tensions have been running high in the region since Wednesday, following the kidnap and killing of a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in a suspected "revenge" attack by Jewish settlers near Jerusalem.
The Palestinian boy's murder came hot on the heels of the discovery of the bodies of three missing Jewish settlers. The Israeli army has detained hundreds of Palestinians since the three settlers' disappearance last month.
