Turkish police continue anti-Daesh operations in southeastern border city of Gaziantep while seizing several suicide bomb vests, weapons and explosives
A cast-off suicide bomber vest was found in the southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep where Yunus Durmaz, a Daesh terrorist, blew himself up during a police raid last week.
During the search and investigation after the blast police confiscated a large number of explosive and ammunitions intended for suicide attacks.
Police found suicide bombers' explosive belts, Kalashnikovs and automatic rifles, detonation cords, bomb manufacturing materials, magazines and bullets, powder and plastic explosives, and machine guns.
Meanwhile police confiscated several hard discs and other digital documents including bomb-making training videos during operations raiding Daesh cells.
The southeastern border city of Gaziantep, and the largest Turkish city, Istanbul, have experienced several suicide attacks since the beginning of the year. Most of the Daesh suicide attackers were sent from cells in Gaziantep.
Following the attacks, Turkish police launched wide-ranging anti-Daesh operations to prevent further suicide attacks and captured several Daesh terrorists.
Police operations against the terror group are underway across the city.
