FETÖ terrorists were trained by CIA, FBI

The US intelligence agencies, the CIA and FBI, trained the FETÖ terrorists to infiltrate Turkey's state institutions and organized an anti-govt coup, Edirne public prosecutor's office says

The members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization have been trained by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to attempt a coup in Turkey and topple its democratically-elected government, according to an indictment prepared by the Edirne Public Prosecutor's office.

The indictment seeks the highest punishment for 43 FETÖ suspects, including the terror leader Fetullah Gülen, who orchestrated a coup attempt in Turkey on July 15 killing almost 250 civilians and injuring more than 2,000 others.

Gülen has been residing in Pennsylvania, U.S., under self-imposed exile since 1997 and refused the call from the Turkish state to return home. He has close ties with the U.S. authority and intelligence agency as the pentagon planned to control the Muslim world through his so-called Gülen Movement.

He operated hundreds of schools and cultural centers, almost all country around the world with the financial, intelligence and security support of the U.S. authority.

“The CIA and FBI trained (FETÖ) cadres in overseas cultural centers belonging to the Jamaat-ish Congregation (FETÖ) on several subjects in the framework of their strategy against the government," the indictment read.

It also said that some other foreign secret services also trained them on a variety of subjects related to the Turkish state.

The December 17 operation in 2013 staged by prosecutors and security forces loyal to the FETÖ leader Gülen, was one of the best examples of these efforts, the prosecutor's office said.

During the Dec. 17 and Dec. 25 civil coup attempt, the FETÖ elements inside the judiciary and police aimed to detain top government officials and overthrow the elected government led by the then Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The indictment said that trained FETÖ members working in forensic and security institutions had played the major role.

It also explained the FETÖ's recruitment process, saying it selects only brilliant and successful students.

“After reaching the targeted stage in the context of the quality and quantity of the education cadres of the organization, it directs the more devoted students in accordance with the requirements of the era," it said.

It doesn't help the needy students as like other charity foundations in Turkey. Rather it chooses and helps only those brilliant and successful students who expressed their complete obedience to Gülen.

The students even take IQ tests for getting involved in this organization, the Edirne Prosecutor office said.

It said the fugitive terror leader, Fetullah Gülen, launched the process for setting up his own cadre in public offices in the late 1970s.

Education was the major base of the long-term project as he set up his cadres in police, judiciary, military and other state institutions.

A group of his terror members were directed to working in the business sector to provide non-stop financial support to the organization.

The indictment also includes Gülen's sermon in 1990s, in which he ordered his fellow men to infiltrate i state institutions and wait for his order until gaining enough power.

““You must move within the arteries of the system, without anyone noticing your existence, until you reach all the power centers … You must wait for the time when you are complete and conditions are ripe, until we can shoulder the entire world and carry it… Until the conditions are ripe, you must continue like this… If you do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads… The time is not yet right. You must wait until such a time, as you have gotten all the state power, until you have brought to your side all the power of the constitutional institution in Turkey…Until that time, any step taken would be too early—like breaking an egg without waiting the full forty days for it to hatch."
