Three people from the Telecommunications Community Presidency, or TIB, have been suspended for allegedly destroying wiretapping efforts by installing spyware software to the regulatory authority's system in order to delete confidential data. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
The suspects have been charged with causing the data loss, particularly in judicial matters. TIB officials made a criminal complaint against the suspects for deliberately damaging the data after they discovered the software had been active 10 days after its installment.
An administrative investigation will be launch against the TIB workers.
The Gölbasi Republic Prosecutors Office had previously conducted an investigation in the regulatory authority over the allegations that confidential data has been transferred to some foreign countries and espionage activities in favor of foreign countries.
