Turkish Aerospace Industries, or TAI, announced Saturday on its official website that Turkey planned to participate in the Farnborough International Air show, or FIA 2014, that will be held July 14-20 in Farnborough, UK.
TAI will present its Multi Role Combat and Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter, 'T129 ATAK',which will also perform flight demonstrations, and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, or UAV system, ANKA, at the static display area, TAI said.
ANKA, an advanced Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) class UAV, performs day and night, in all-weather reconnaissance, target detection / identification and intelligence missions with its EO/IR and SAR payloads, featuring autonomous flight capability including Automatic Take-off and Landing.
The civil aviation market in Turkey began a period of rapid growth with the liberalization of the country's aviation sector in 2002. Annual growth rates of up to 30 per cent have been well above the average international growth rate for aviation of approximately five percent.
