Turkish, Belgian defense firms sign 6 strategic deals

Turkish and Belgian defense companies have signed six strategic cooperation agreements during the Belgian Economic Mission to Türkiye. The deals include MOUs between SAHA Istanbul and Agoria BSDI, FNSS and John Cockerill Defense, as well as agreements involving Aselsan, Turkish Aerospace, and others.
The Belgian Economic Mission’s visit to Türkiye has yielded six strategic cooperation agreements between defense and aviation firms from both countries. The deals aim to deepen bilateral industrial ties and open new markets for joint projects. A signing ceremony brought together top representatives from leading Turkish and Belgian companies.
MOUs for innovation and armored vehicles
SAHA Istanbul and Agoria BSDI signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in defense and aviation innovation, establishing a framework for joint research, technological collaboration, and exchange of business practices. Turkish armored vehicle manufacturer FNSS and Belgium’s John Cockerill Defense SA also signed an MOU to jointly develop and explore existing and new markets, reaffirming their shared commitment to providing high-quality armored vehicles to customers worldwide.
Broader cooperation across sectors
Additional agreements were signed between BTMco and ABC, ALTUNA International Engineering and New Lachaussee, Turkish Aerospace and SONACA, and Aselsan and XO Advanced Systems. These deals pave the way for cooperation in various fields, including aerospace, advanced systems, and engineering. The agreements reflect growing confidence in Türkiye’s defense industry, which has expanded its export footprint significantly in recent years, and Belgium’s interest in integrating Turkish technology and manufacturing capabilities.
