Türkiye dispatches 25 aid trucks to Gaza through Rafah crossing

Türkiye has dispatched 25 trucks carrying humanitarian assistance from its 17th "Ship of Kindness" aid vessel to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. The shipment, containing over 900 tons of relief supplies including baby formula and ready-to-eat meals, represents Türkiye's ongoing commitment to addressing humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.
A convoy of 25 trucks transporting humanitarian aid from Türkiye began its journey Saturday from Egypt's al-Arish Port toward the Rafah border crossing for delivery to Gaza. The assistance forms part of the 900-ton relief supplies carried by Türkiye's 17th "Ship of Kindness" aid vessel, which originally departed from the southern Turkish port of Mersin on October 14.
Aid coordination and composition
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) coordinated the aid initiative in collaboration with 17 Turkish non-governmental organizations. Officials from AFAD supervised the departure of the truck convoy from the Egyptian port, with the vehicles expected to complete their approximately 45-minute transit to the Rafah crossing point. The shipment contains essential supplies specifically selected to address urgent needs in Gaza, including infant formula, canned food products, and prepared meals.
Logistical operations
Unloading operations continue at al-Arish Port, where more than half of the vessel's 900-ton cargo has already been transferred to transportation vehicles. AFAD confirmed that work continues to prepare the remaining aid materials for subsequent transport to Gaza. The coordinated effort represents one of Türkiye's sustained humanitarian missions to provide relief to the Palestinian population amid ongoing challenges in the region.
Ongoing humanitarian mission
The "Ship of Kindness" initiative demonstrates Türkiye's continued commitment to international humanitarian assistance and represents the latest in a series of Turkish aid deliveries to Gaza. The comprehensive aid package, organized through partnership between government institutions and civil society organizations, aims to alleviate suffering and address basic needs within the besieged territory.
