“Terrorists may make bombs or slaughter civilians but will never be successful,” PM Yıldırım says, referring to Dürümlü attack
Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said that his visit to Diyarbakır was intended to reveal the ugly face of the terrorist organization which brutally killed 16 people.
"The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) terrorists don't have any concern about Kurdish issues. Everyone should know that we can divide roads or our bread, but we will never and ever let anyone divide the country," Turkish PM said during his visit to Diyarbakır province where he arrived to inaugurate government projects.
"Terrorists will not be successful. They may make a bomb or slaughter civilians. But they will not accomplish anything," said the Prime Minister, referring to the Dürümlü attack by PKK terrorists that killed 16 people in a truck bombing on May 12.
PM Yıldırım, during his first visit to Diyarbakır only two weeks after the PKK truck bombing, said the terrorists, who destroyed the city and dug ditches, will be heavily punishmed for their acts.
"People elected with your votes spent all the resources to serve terrorist activities. We will call them to account for this," said Yıldırım.
The Turkish PM also said investments in Diyarbakır will support development, as government put its signature on significant projects such as the new international airport which recently started to operate.
