Assad forces kill 13 members of one family

At least 13 members of the same family, mostly women and children, were killed in Syrian military airstrikes on Ar Rastan, the third largest city of Homs Governorate in Syria.

Reports say many people were injured when the opposition-held city between Homs and Hama faced the worst attack in recent days.

The city has been besieged by pro-government forces for more than one year. Lack of water and electricity reached an alarming state as the city could see a humanitarian disaster if no action is taken, local activists say.

In recent weeks, like other opposition-held cities, Ar-Rastan is being targeted by regime airstrikes almost every day.
