The Gaza Health Ministry said on Tuesday that Israeli attacks killed eight Palestinians and wounded 26 others in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative death toll from the genocide in the blockaded enclave to 73,066 since October 2023 as medical facilities continue to document casualties amid relentless ceasefire violations.
Rising casualty figures
The Gaza Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that Israeli attacks killed eight Palestinians and wounded 26 others over the past 24 hours, raising the cumulative death toll from Israel's genocide in the blockaded enclave to 73,066 since October 2023.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry said hospitals in the territory received eight bodies and 26 injured people during the reporting period. The ministry did not specify the circumstances of the casualties as Israeli forces continued to violate the October 2025 ceasefire through shelling and gunfire across different parts of Gaza.
Truce violations mount
The ministry noted that the death toll from Israeli violations of the truce has risen to 1,053, while 3,406 others have been injured since the agreement was breached. A number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, with ambulance and civil defense crews still unable to reach them, according to the report.
Infrastructure devastation
Beyond the human cost, the campaign has caused widespread destruction, damaging about 90% of Gaza's civilian infrastructure. The United Nations has estimated reconstruction costs at around $70 billion, according to international reports.
