German oil refinery explosion leaves at least 8 injured

An explosion at an oil refinery in the south of Germany has left at least eight wounded, some with serious injuries. According to local reports, more than 2,000 people have been evacuated from the area.

The incident took place at the Bayernoil complex near Ingolstadt. Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene.

The cause of the explosion has not been determined.
